Mark Kerr

Aberdeen have agreed a deal to sign Mark Kerr after he reached the end of his contract at Dundee United.

Kerr, who began his career at Falkirk before moving to United in 2003, will sign a two-year contract next week providing he passes a medical.

The 26-year-old midfielder is currently on holiday but has committed to joining the Dons after five years with United.

He will add experience to Jimmy Calderwood's side after several senior players left at the end of last season.

Annan Athletic have gained entry to Division Three after a vote by the 29 clubs in the Scottish Football League.

They will replace Gretna after beating off the challenge of Cove Rangers, Spartans, Preston Athletic and Edinburgh City.

Veteran duo seal new Ibrox deals

Rangers defenders Christian Dailly and David Weir have both signed new one-year contracts with the Ibrox club.

Weir, 38, first joined Walter Smith's side in January 2007 with 34-year-old Dailly arriving a year later.
