7:21:33 PM Kerr poised for Pittodrie switch
Aberdeen have agreed a deal to sign Mark Kerr after he reached the end of his contract at Dundee United. Kerr, who began his career at Falkirk before moving to United in 2003, will sign a two-year contract next week providing he passes a medical. The 26-year-old midfielder is currently on holiday but has committed to joining the Dons after five years with United. He will add experience to Jimmy Calderwood's side after several senior players left at the end of last season. English Championship side Preston signed Dons midfielder Barry Nicholson on a two-year deal on a Bosman free transfer.
Assuming Kerr's medical is successful, he will join Gary McDonald, Bertrand Bossu and Sam Stewart as Calderwood's other close season captures.
