Celtic and Auxerre have yet to agree a fee for the transfer of Gabriel Tamas to the Scottish champions - and that could yet jeopardise the deal.

Aberdeen have signed former Celtic left-back Charlie Mulgrew from Wolves.

The 22-year-old has agreed a two-year contract at Pittodrie after turning down an offer from Swindon Town.

Mulgrew, a regular for Scotland at Under-21 level, moved to Molineux in August 2006 as part of the deal which saw Lee Naylor move to Celtic Park.

Celtic are exploring a possible move for Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas from Auxerre.

Sources close to the player have told BBC Sport that a meeting will take place in Paris between the 24-year-old and the clubs on Thursday.

However, Celtic have refused to comment on any transfer targets.

Watford defender Danny Shittu says he is still keen on a move to Rangers despite blaming the Ibrox club for the collapse of the deal.

The 27-year-old travelled to Glasgow last weekend to finalise the transfer after the clubs agreed a £1.5m fee.

Samaras scored six goals while on loan at Celtic last se

Greek striker Georgios Samaras has signed a three-year contract with Scottish champions Celtic.

The 23-year-old impressed Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan when he was on loan from Manchester City last season.

City bought Samaras from Dutch side Heerenveen for £6m in January 2006 and have made a substantial loss in offloading the Greek international.

Dundee United have signed Francesco Sandaza after the 23-year-old Spanish striker left Valencia CF Mastalla.

Sandaza will join the Scottish Premier League club on a three-year contract, subject to international clearance.
