Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has been urged to be more open about his decision making at the Edinburgh club.

Charlie Mann, former spokesperson for Romanov, told BBC Sport: "Vladimir wants less communication than there has been over the past few months.

Frail's time at Tynecastle appears to be over

Stephen Frail is expected to sever his ties with Hearts after being asked to stay away from the Edinburgh club's pre-season preparations.

Frail, a former defender at Tynecastle, has been the caretaker manager since January and has been on the coaching staff since October 2004.

Frail declined to comment and Hearts may make a statement next week.

Paul Quinn faces an anxious wait to discover if Motherwell boss Mark McGhee has stripped him of the club captaincy.
