Leko played against Scotland at Hampden in March
The agent of Celtic target Jerko Leko has told BBC Sport that former Rangers striker Dado Prso has sold the Croatian midfielder on a move to Glasgow.
Damir Josic also said Monaco would be willing to accept a fee of around £3m for the Croatian international.
"Dado and Jerko live close to each other between Nice and Monte Carlo and meet regularly," said Josic.
"Dado only has positive things to say about Scotland and the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers."
Leko, who is in the Croatia squad for Euro 2008, is under contract with Monaco until 2010.
"We want to see if there's anything concrete in the interest," added Josic.
"I know Celtic are looking for this type of player, but he is getting ready to play for Croatia. If anything happens it would probably be after Euro 2008.
"If Celtic want Leko he will sign. he has a good opinion of the club and being in the Champions League he would be happy to play there too."
