| |
A high-scoring Scottish Cup first-round day proved a good one for the five clubs from the junior ranks. Auchinleck Talbot, winners of the Scottish Junior Cup eight times, hammered perennial Highland League strugglers Fort William 7-0. Irvine Meadow were 2-0 winners at Brora, while Banks O'Dee hammered Rothes 5-1 away from home. Girvan beat Glasgow University 4-1 away, but Bonnyrigg Rose were held to a 1-1 draw at Fraserburgh. This is the third season when the leading members of the Junior FA have qualified for the Scottish Cup. Scottish Cup first-round scores
