Plans for a new community stadium in Aberdeen could move a step forward on Wednesday at a meeting of the local authority.

Aberdeen City councillors are set to vote on plans to build a state-of-the-art, 30,000 seater venue on the outskirts of the city.

The Loirston Loch site has already been recommended as the preferred option for Aberdeen FC's new ground.

The Dons have already said that staying at their current home simply isn't an option.
