Ian Murray has returned to Hibernian on a short-term deal until the end of the season after terminating his contract at Norwich City.

The 26-year-old left Easter Road in the summer of 2005 to join Rangers under freedom of contract.

Hearts have submitted a detailed planning application for a major redevelopment of Tynecastle Stadium.

It has been confirmed to BBC Sport that it is now between a shortlist of four candidates to succeed Alex McLeish.
